None of these Windows Media Files play any more at AOL. Does anyone know the solution?

Replace http://progressive.stream.aol.com with rtsp://wms.stream.aol.com and replace _dl.mov with _bitrate.wmv. You should get
rtsp://wms.stream.aol.com/aol/us/aolmusic/artists/bmg/kellyclarkson/kellyclarkson_ilp_low_700.wmv
I think they just added the Windows Media server because files from 2004 arnt on it.
NSV Streaming Media
I’m guessing AOL changed their server configuration, using the old method, I obtained the following URL:
http://wms.stream.aol.com/aol/us/aolmusic/artists/wmg/cassie/cassie_st_lp_96.wma
This URL would work before, but now it leads to a video that says “The video you requested can be found on aolvideo.com....."
Any ideas on how to go from here?

I successfully converted NSV to AVI with just a few clicks..
All you just need to do is type the “filename.nsv” & “output.avi”
** include the \path\folder
Then download FFDshow codecs before playing it @
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm
Now u can play your converted nsv to avi to any regular windows based media player and burn it to DVD or VCD..

Are there no nsv files on winamp.com that can be downloaded by using coolbeans, or are they encapsulated under the extensino .wmv?
The easiest way to Encode Winamp NSV To .wmv
If this is comfusing am sory this is how i get nsv to wmv ... try it, it works fine and it looks great with great sound to.
Use SnagIt and capture the video press the mic icon saying you want to capture A/V and, go to output propeties and type 25Fps and press Ok
Use Windows Movie Maker push the Mic Icon, choose stereo mix from the drop down box, what this will do is instead of you recording your voice it will interface any sound your computer makes here we are listening a streaming sound, If your PC is slow go to task manager processes and lower the Windows Movie Maker priority to low, Abobe Normal for winamp, and normal for SnagIt
If it does not capture the video go to your desktop and right clik go to propeties, then go to settings, clik advanced, go to trobleshoot and lower your hardware acceleration one by one until you get your video this helps your capture software to catch up with the video, Remember to set it back to normal after capture nothing bad will happen but your computer will be very slow and with bad graphics.
Warning am not responsible for your actions this is your choice to try, this is only a trik that i have for myself and sharing it to the world.

Can someone help me? I’ve being trying to watch some videos at tmz.com, but all I get is a message that says “there was a problem retrieving all the data for this content”. Does anyone know why that happens? Maybe I’m not allowed to see the video because I don’t live in the US?

using all kinds of programs, url helper, url snooper, etc... I looked at the source code of the page, but really, I think I’m dumb. It’s impossible. I can’t figure out the URL. And I just found out about this NSV format. Can someone help me? Can someone rip this for me? PLEASE???
I found all sorts of URLs like, http://nsvapp-prod-rr.stream.aol.com/fugu?t=uni&tsize=uni&tzone=-2&pmmsid=1705405 and nsv.stream.aol.com. It’s too much for my little brain.

I have the same problem and currently the only way I can watch aol videos is that I first add them to the playlist or choose from the list at the bottom of the video.

1.Play the video in AOL Media Player (it will pop up when you click on the video)
2.Right click near the video playing and select 'view source'.
3.The notepad window that will appear should say 'video.index'. If it doesn’t, repeat step 2.

5.Keep on hitting find next until you get to the last 'fugu'.

you can use URL helper to download.The program will look for the url from aznv.tv once u open up the file with winamp.
I just got a new MCE PC and did the file and settings transfer wizard in hope of getting NSV streams to play in mediaplayer and MCE.
By luck I somehow got it to work on my old pc, but no luck on the new one (it still plays on the old one).
The stram I really want to work is: http://87.98.148.66:9100/;stream.nsv
It plays fine in winamp and I have installed the VP3 codec.
I forgot to mention that mediaplayer on my old computer reports the content as “picture” and audio as MP3

Found a solution to convert nsv to avi from the address:

but it isn’t one-stop. Convert nsv to dvd, then to avi.
I just downloaded a prisonbreak stream. I opened the url in Opera web browser, http://*/*.nsv and it started downloading.
I then stopped the dl after 1 hr, renamed the file “default” to “default.nsv” and opened it in winamp 5.1. It plays fine
Time to go watch PB
