Okay, i read through this entire thread and tried a number of solutions, but i cannot seem to download this music video. I would appreciate any input so that i can understand how you got whatever kind of link or file you can pull from this. Here is a direct link to the player with the appropriate video loaded.

nevermind my posts. I ended up using ethereal to find the rtsp address, then i downloaded it with CoCSoft Stream Down 5.3 Worked like a champ

I need to know how to convert .nsv file to some other file format please. I was browsing through the forum,and everybody is talking about AOL video. can anybody Please help me with this. I have lot of .nsv files and I want to convert them in avi so I can burn them on DVD.

Today I released RadioRipper 1.1d BETA which has full Ultravox and NSV support. It is free and can be downloaded at http://www.radioripper.net/. Once RadioRipper is installed, simply open the playlist browser in Winamp (Alt+L) then double click the stream or video you want to record. someone has to have the answer, before u start hassling me i have got all the tools, but im a subscriber 2 tamal.tv and when i use the demuxer the quality goes to fking crap, excuse my french please SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

oh yeah while u guys are all talking about streaming and stuff, if u can use winamp 2 stream the files, u can use streamripper which i use to get a back way in through tamal........

thats where 2 get it, just click on the server and install then when you’ve got a stream going just click on start and there u go, it downloads, and the best thing is is when u start the stream, it will keep going u dont even have 2 watch it u can just watch something else
but the only problem is, is that it starts from where the stream starts, but lets say u leave it streamripping over night, then when the episodes change halla lu ya, you’ve got a few eps.

well this is refering to a OLD post but steve what prog were you using to find “beef” as u put it i would love to help but not too sure where to start

Hello, a really interesting experience to visit your website.

You can’t right click and save WMV files. Even tho they have a .wmv extension they are encoded in a play list (creative people at AOL) so you have to use a downloading program, Hidownload works the best for me.

I hope you folks know that it’s illegal to download those files. But, for the sake of research, I’ll tell you that it’s all set in the headers. I have seen it done somewhere before (I don’t remember where) where someone set up a normal HTTP server to host the supposedly “corrupted” NSV files from AOL with the proper headers (Content-Type: misc/ultravox), and it played correctly.
