I am not able to use Intel Create & Share Camera Pack with lifecam show

I am not able to play the Interactive webcam game
Reality Fusion supplied with Intel Create & Share Camera Pack.
Copyright ©1997 Reality Fusion, Inc. all rights reserved.
I am using klite codec pack
The game plays well with laptop built in Dell webcam (XPS M1330). Clean boot

has not solved the problem. There is no interfering program.
The error message given while configuring the software is
Select one of the following Value for image format
256 color (8 bit palette)
16-bit color (RGB16, RGB555, or RGBH)
24-bit color (RGB24, RGB888, or RGBT)
YUV12
I420
16 shades of gray
64 shades of Gray

The problem is that none of the image formats is available for selection when I

want to use Lifecam show

Options available for Video format Stream settings-Pixel Depth (bits) and

compression
YUY2
MJPG
Please help

This sounds kind of obvious, but the Intel Create & Share Camera Pack was intended for Intel-made webcams (yes, Intel used to sell webcams back in the days - that’s back when it still owned the Indeo codec, which may have been optimized to work with those cams and with the emerging MMX processors).
Also consider the fact the software is pretty old (1997 according to what you typed).
The fact it worked with the Dell laptop webcam was merely coincidental.
One thing you should know about webcams is they generally send their raw data in various pixel formats, and I’m not sure how often (but I suspect not often) it’s a form of RGB (as opposed to some of the Y’CbCr’s aka “YUV”'s). It’s a way to cut down bandwidth by tossing a bit of the color information while retaining the brightness information. For more info see Chroma Subsampling.
Anyway the point of all this is that the camera pack seems to expect only certain raw pixel formats (you listed them: 8-bit RGB, 16-bit RGB, 24-bit RGB, YUV12, I420, etc...), while the Lifecam show seems to produce a different output (YUY2, MJPG, according to what you typed).

I’m not sure what the create & share software does, but if it just captures the video, may I suggest using VIDCAP32 instead?
It’s a freeware program (actually sample code from the win32 SDK (software development kit) from Microsoft). It’s very small (less than 200KB). It’s available all over the web, but here’s one hit: http://www.natech-inc.com/names/other_programs/vidcap/index.html
Options, video source selects what device you’re capturing from. You can preview what you capture by clicking options, and checking preview. Options, video format selects the resolution and the pixel format (all the RGB’s and “YUV”'s) of the input. The program should be intelligent enough to only display what your camera is capable of. Options, compression is where you pick a video codec. The list of codecs available will depend on the pixel format you choose. RGB24 will probably offer the largest selection of codecs.

You can also use VirtualDub to capture (click file, capture AVI).
