No audio and half of screen is green (mpg)

I’m trying to play a mpg file. There’s no audio and the top half of my screen is green. My WMP also tried to download a codec but I had an error. I looked at the file in GSpot but I got NA on codecs needed. So what’s wrong?

I Also had that same problem when i had Vobsub installed and also had a Codec Package (K-Lite)Installed. I uninstalled the Codec Package and downloaded a new Codec (not a package) incl. player and now it works great.

It Worked 4 me!
