Nero error - can't burn avi

Hi,

I get an error message in Nero when I try to burn avi files. It says unsupported file format. This happened from one day to the next. I’ve tried reinstalling Nero, used all Ahead’s clean tools, uninstalled loads of codecs (not all of them) but to no avail. Can anyone help me?
