This always pops up...Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

I downloaded a movie torrent and got the movie, its A DVD RIP (whatever that means) I need help getting a codec to play the movie

I also frequently encountered errors after downloading torrent movies. I use uTorrent as my torrent client. I have K-Lite as my media player but when I tried to play it K-Lite reports that it cannot render the file.

So I downloaded VLC but when I tried to play the same file, no picture is displayed but the slider does move (though quite fast). No sound either. The movie I recently downloaded is a DVD Rip and in avi format. Could the movie file be corrupted? If so, is there anyway to be sure?

Any help would be appreciated guys..

hai guys..........
I also face same problem. Each torrent consists different formats like .avi,dvd,etc...
we have to play these movies means download some other codes like k-lite,l-lite,etc.. I already tried so many players, codes
but it was not working.
Some torrent movies ask Vodie Multiprocessor (Vodie Mp 2.10),
Some are ask best Video Player (i.e for torrent).
Some are working with Divx Player,Vodie Mp 2.10,RAR file....
First try these Players.

I also Required Some Other Codes or Player..
so..Please send the exact information for me.......

HEY GUYS, i was reading your posts.

you cant 'play' a torrent file.
you have to download BitTorrent so after you download the torrent open it in bittorrent wait for it to finish uploading to there... or you movie might be finished already right click and click open containing foler fine the AVI file copy and paste it to the desktop or desired location and click on play.

its smartest to wait til bittorrent is done uploading it then unzipping zipped files with iZarc

good luck!!

i download em all the time
