Missing alaw (0x0006) Microsoft Corporation audio codec under WinXP - Please help

I am trying to play this AVI clip, and am getting an error for the audio playback. I checked this with GSPOT, and here is what it told me.

Gspot was not able to find an audio codec which will decompress this format. DirectShow was not able to render it either. You will most likely need to get an audio codec update to get sound from this media clip.


Can someone please help?

I’m having the smae poblem. It does play on VLC media player though but i prefer using Divx 6 player.

I’ve tried to download this audio codec but I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve only saw this codec in packs but i just want an single install file or an dll file. Can somebody pass us a LINK, we would be very gratefull.
