mean codecs? please help me

heya! i used to remember how to flip an avi but the process seems to be escaping me now. i cannot find the filter that i seem to remember Vdub having so here goes; my windows media player has no issues with the files in question, but when i begin to encode i am getting the upside down file issue, probably a case of too many codecs, but i don’t know where to locate them as i am on a swedish OP. i looked at gspot which identified many codecs but as they associated with shared programmes i am not game to mess with them, searching this computer just brings up divx player and codec, i uninstalled these and checked out codec sniper as well, everything i use is reporting “all systems go” and don’t know what my next step should be? thankyou for your time :]
