Losing Audio in VOB files played with Windows Media Player 12

posted in General, viewed 2204 times

Hi, I’m new on here and had a question.
I have some VOB files ripped from DVDs that I am trying to play in Windows Media Player version 12 with Windows 7. They will open even though it first says they are in an unsupported format, and start to play normally. But then the sound cuts out after a short time. Early on I can scroll through and the sound plays throughout the video, then stops unexpectedly. I have converted one of them to AVI and it still does it. I have played with the audio output settings too, to no avail. Any advice is much appreciated. reply

Bad software (!) was used to rip your DVDs.

VOB files - in this case - still have remnants of anti-piracy code.

Well, I think I can not say anything more...

Take some decoders to play those VOB files after a good rip:
