I’ve downloaded a few movies now (bittorrent). They are split onto two kvcd disks with .bin and .cue files.

However, in each case the size of each bin file is in excess of 800mb. Can anyone explain this to me. Ithought a cd can only hold 700mb.

Why would anyone make them too big? Is there any way of making them smaller?

explanation needed!!!!

Regular

Regular 700 MB CD-R’s actually contain over 800 MB of space. The extra space is used for error correction and is invisible to the end-user. VCD’s and SVCD’s don’t use that error correction space, so that’s why they can appear larger than the regular 700MB.
