i need serious help with this codec Error ID = 0xC00D1199, Condition ID = 0x00000000.....this codec keeps commin up then i try to play a movie i downloaded,it wont play on anything ive got on my computer.some one please help me out..

I’ve solved the problem:

try to download the Angel Potion Codec fro internet. - this codec is responsable for playing AVI...

Version 1.702
Install it. Done.

it sais it all there, and d/l divx from their site, www.divx.com there is a free one. And it plays it. reply

Everyone that is having the error ID= 0xc00d1199
This means that the file is incomplete or damadged. However sometimes the Divx Player will play it. reply

Oh Ya I Have the problem no avi file will play on any including dvix player installed on my computer it all started when I installed the xpcodec pack from betanews file forum what happened as far as I can tell Is That installing the codec pack rewrote
my regestry breaking the links to the file avi codec
or corrupted the codec and as far as I know since I can’t repair without setting my reg back to before that time and since too much has changed the only way to actualy fix the problem is to uninstall (In sys the total of the multimedia section of windows after uninstalling all media software and then reinstall the multimedia section of Windows then reinstall all media software WOW

Ya, u can use QUICK TIME to play that file. I tried playing it with different players, and everytime it playes with Quicktime.

Did the latest quicktime not help?

well, try downloading the codec pack from www.divx.com or just google your error and see the codec u need.

Si le aparece un mensaje que contiene los códigos de error 0xC00D0BB8 ó 0xC00D1199 al intentar reproducir un archivo .mp3, el problema puede deberse a que el archivo tiene un encabezado ID3 comprimido o no sincronizado que no se admite en el Reproductor de Windows Media por razones de seguridad.

Para los encabezados ID3 no sincronizados, vea el artículo 814129, “Error in Windows Media Player 9 Series When You Play Specific MP3 Files” (Se produce un error en el Reproductor de Windows Media 9 al reproducir determinados archivos MP3), en Microsoft Knowledge Base.

Para los encabezados comprimidos u otros datos ID3v2, puede usar un programa de edición de etiquetas a fin de quitar la información. Por ejemplo, puede utilizar Advanced WMA Workshop, que está disponible en el sitio Web de LitexMedia. O bien, puede utilizar Winamp 2.x, que está disponible en el sitio Web de Winamp. Para utilizar Winamp 2.x, lleve a cabo las siguientes acciones:
Abra el archivo en Winamp.
En la ventana Playlist (Lista de reproducción), haga clic con el botón secundario del mouse en el archivo y, después, haga clic en File Info (Información del archivo).
Desactive las casillas de verificación ID3v1 tag (Etiqueta ID3v1) e ID3v2 tag (Etiqueta ID3v2).
Haga clic en Update (Actualizar).

El archivo debería reproducirse en el Reproductor de Windows Media. reply

ya i have the same problem. i have a windows media player music video and it wont work and it just sez that code i tried getting vlc but it wont work either can ne 1 send me a link to were i can get vlc? reply
