How do I download a DVD movie to my computer on windows media player or realplayer..Or copy the disc so it’s on my computer and all i need to do is find the file and burn it on a disc?

i just got a dvd cd burner and i feel like i wasted my money buying this because i can’t download no movies to my computer. I want to download the movies on to my computer and then burn them onto a blank dvd to share with my family and friends. Can someone help me --Chanel
