Okay, I want to import a couple videos and songs on Windows Movie Maker. I click import Video and it takes me to my video folder, and I click on the video folder and nothing is in there, even when I have put videos in it when I wasn’t using Movie Maker. Same thing when I clink Import Audio Or Music, it takes me to my itunes folder and Sample Music. When I click on Sample Music it goes to two songs (which are in the Windows Media Audio file) that were already on the computer when I got it, and it lets me import them. But when I go to the itunes folder and click on itunes music it goes to folders of the artists I have. When I click on one of the artist’s folder it goes to a folder of the album the songs are from. Then when I click on the albums folder the songs I want to import aren’t in there, similar to when I try to import videos from a folder and they aren’t there. It lets me import pictures, but I don’t know why it won’t import video or audio. Can anyone help me?

I have the same exact problem with my audio. I cant seem to get any songs on my slideshow. But I heard that Windows Movie Maker doesn’t accept downloaded or purchased songs, so I looked in my itunes to get a song I imported from a CD and it still didn’t work.

I had the same problem. If you look at the bottom right hand corner of the window, there should be a pull down menu that syays: All Media Files. Go down and change that to: All Files. That should show you your songs or videos. To import them, you might need to convert them or install a codec pack. Hope this helps.

I have the exact same problem! It’s so incredibly frustrating!! What is a codec pack? And I have this fear of getting some terrible virus (or something else)on my computer if I download anything over the internet. Is media-convert.com safe to use??

Should be in wmv or avi format. You can download a video format converter to change the format. Virus free!
