Freezing WIth Folders Containing Avi Files

Hi, I have a VERY annoying problem...

I’ve downloaded movies and episodes from shows that are avi format that have worked fine in the past, but one day when i tried to open to folder containing them, it just freezes. any folder containing even a single small avi file will freeze and state: “an error happened and windows explorer had to shut down” ect. can some one please help me? i really want to watch my movies again

Hy man my pc is doing the same, how you solve the problem?

I couldn’t solve it, and my virus scanner thinks the folders don’t exist :S
