hey, i got a big big problem here, every video that i play is messed up, all greeny, and weirdly big scaled, anyone know how to fix it?
Check that your display settings is set for 32 bit colour (or 24 bit). Any less (ie. 16bit or 8 bit) and files will look really weird.

Display settings usually affect video playback performance, in that if you’ve got slow playback, it’ll help if you lower the setting. This puts less strain on the CPU.
In regards to the greenish video, my guess is it’s a codec issue or it could be because the file was encoded badly.
Have you installed a codec pack (ie - Nimo, Tsunami etc)? Is FFDShow installed?
Which codec is the video content encoded with? (try using AVICodec to find out - http://avicodec.duby.info/)
For me, what I use to play videos properly is:
Latest FFDShow
Latest Koepi binary of XviD codec
Zoom Player
BUT, it is important to uninstall older versions of codecs or filters BEFORE trying the latest builds. You should be able to identify what is installed by looking at Add or Remove Programs.
I don’t really want to recommend VLC at this point, just want to fix the codec issue first.
