DVD Plays in POWERDVD but not in Windows Media Player or Home DVD Player

My dvd’s (self-burned and store bought) play fine using “PowerDVD” but do not play using Windows Media Player (just plays audio) or on my home DVD player (doesn’t play at all)...any ideas?

My video camera records on Power DVD and I need to convert the video to Windhows Media Player and still be able to edit the video.
