Converting Matroska files into AVI or MPEG

I downloaded some videos that I was wanting to burn to a DVD, but the files I downloaded were Matroska file types and my Burning Program couldn’t recognize them. Does anybody know of a way to convert these files into either AVI or MPEG?

you could use xilisoft converter or iloung converter. i think the problem is very easy to solve if you download it and use it.
