I just completed a home movie via windows movie maker and converted it to a AVI/DV file. In the process the file ended up 11gigs in size. I am trying to find a way to compress this file down so I can burn it to dvd.
Any ideas?
Thanks

That is 1 hell of a huge winamp file U got. 4 ur in4mation, there isn’t any software in the world that can compress a file of 11gb. But don’t worry, mate....late 2006 or early 2007, U could burn all 11gb of ur file in just 1 disc without compression or any loss of quality. The 2nd generation of DVD player/recorder will take care of it. It’s called the Blu-Ray DVD develop by sony corporation. The Blu-Ray DVD disc can store 50gb of data. So plenty of space 4 ur home made movie. So, keep ur fingers cross.

I lose the end of my files sometimes - is the 120 mins on the disc case absolute - and if not why am I losing the last 5-15 mins in writing?
