Cant play avi files

so basically no one knows what the fuck you do when theres no sound on avi files

How do I find quickplay when I right click on a file and go to open with???

Hey I have a few codec packages and I use u-torrent can only one tell me just ONE code download that has it all so I can get rid of unneccesary files and also when I try and Download AVI and MP4 files from the net why wont they play get back to me on my E mail please thanks guys please be descriptive later!!

If AVI files play without visuals, go to http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/ and download and install divx codec. The format of the AVI file should be divx 90%. It worked for me.

ive been tryin to make an animated music video from the anime eureka seven
i downloaded the entire series via torrent
it finished downloading and all the files were there but when i try to play the episodes they just have sound!
there is no visual at all
someone plz help me!!!

Thank you tltrude, I highly recommend his solution, my problem was the absence of the video, so I can only hear the voice with no picture, so daverimbo -thank you very much- gave me a hint and tltrude gave me the solution.

I downloaded a movie form. It has many avi files.
(filename.avi.001, etc.) . How can I combine them into one avi file?

I got an external multimedia hard drive, downloaded avi files from a bit torrent site. The files will play on the PC fine, but when I plug the drive into my TV they won’t play, the files appear to load but no sound no picture?? any advice please help, not very techy - this was a christmas present so trying to figure it out ???!
