Cant play avi files

i have downloaded a movie from torrent when its completed its written ( http://freaktorrents.info/watch) can anybody help me out . . . thanx

these files are scams, they don’t contain the movie you wanted - just a whole lot of GB worth of junk! DO NOT go to the redirect website and download this player or whatever it tells you... you will download a virus!

codec error while playing avi file downloaded from utube

I tested using the gspot codec tester and it revealed that I needed Techsmith Screen Capture codec. I searched and installed the same and the video works fine in Windows Media Player. Thansk a lot for help. Great help.

Some of the posts mention that it is a scam. It is not necessarily true.

This is old so no one will probably reply, but i try using the gspot one and drop in the .avi file it just tells me that the file type is unknown and doesn’t fill in any of the codec information.

This video file was created on a different computer that I don’t have access to anymore and don’t know what programs it had. WMP should be able to support .avi so I don’t know what’s wrong. Am I just screwed and cant use the file anymore?

Se aprite il film, che avete scaricato, con un editor (es. ultraedit) vedrete che il file, a parte la zona iniziale che contiene presunte spiegazioni, è completamente vuoto.
Il film preso in considerazione da me è “Apollo.18.2011.iTALIAN.DVDRip.XviD-TRL”.
E' tutto un imbroglio!!!!!!!!!!
Probabilmente per inserire ne vostro pc uno spyware od altro.
