can you watch avi files on stand alone DVD players when put on disc??

If the standalone DVD player is DivX-certified, then it can play some avi files, but only avi files with the DivX codec. Other than that I’m not aware of widespread avi support (for other codecs) on standalone DVD players.

buy a philips DVP-642 (DivX Cert) player will play anything... MP3s on DVDs etc...
