Can someone help me fix my Windows Movie Maker?

Okay, here’s the deal. I’ve been trying to make a darn video with my Windows Movie maker for somewhere around 3 months now and I’ve looked all over the internet trying to find a way to fix it.
Heres my problem: I can create things up to about 5 seconds, then my movie maker unexpectadly turns off, or the screen “This program is not responding and needs to shut down”. Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem!!

I hear ya, Im ready to just buy a mac with imovie on it. This movie maker is driving me nuts! And my camera records in .mov anyway.

Ok Im running a DELL 2.8 with a gig of ram, and i get the same errors you read about all over the net/youtube after about 10-15 sec or 5/6 clips movie maker becomes very unstable, lags hard, hangs and crashes. sometimes it thinks a mp3 is 2 or 3 times longer than it realy is, classic save error of not enough disk space or files moved.

type that straight into ur bar ^_^ It will come up with a video sceen showing u how to do it ^_^ im not sure if this works for everyone but it worked for me ^_^

I just copied a VHS onto a DVD and now would like to make a highlight tape from some of the clips on the DVD. When I try to import the DVD inot Windows Movie Maker I get this message:

After I click OK on this message I have two clips... the first 54 seconds of the DVD and the Last 26 minutes... but nothing from inbetween (it’s about 109 minutes total)

oh and i forgot, i have re-downloaded WMM many times but the new .dll’s get replaced by the broken ones!!!!!!!!!!

My Windows movie maker, when i import a clip with works, but when i play it , no sound comes out?

how do i restart wmm

When I try to import a clip onto Windows Movie Maker from my video camera,only the audio plays. It’s an AVI file....and I downloaded the codecs and everything. It works on Windows Media Player so.........does anyone know whats wrong with it???
