AVI error

Hi:
I am trying to burn an AVI file using NERO but it shots NERO down everytime I start the project - takes about 2 minutes. When I just copied the file - NERO said it was copyrighted. That I suspect might be a problem. Is there any way around this? Other AVI files work fine.
