Hi,
I have a challenge, I downloaded a video (700MB) in avi. But the only message I get when I play it is “use windows media player”.
Does anyone know why a 700mb avi is only showing that message, where is the video?
Do I have do something else to play the video?
John Alan
There’s a lot of fake files out there with uncompressed video (hence 5 seconds of video taking up 700M
with messages to go to some web site and download a media player (commonly malware or virus), or to buy some media player (probably phishing for credit card numbers). Also suspect the MPAA.
Discard and get another one.
Free try other AVI Player, such as VLC Player and MPlayer.
