Hello,

I had the ACE Codec Pack installed on my pc to watch movies. But the longer i used it the more problems came with it so i uninstalled it and tried to install other codec packs.
I tried: DivX 5.21, Media player 9 Codec Pack, Nimo Codec Pack 5.0 Build 9 Beta 1, K-Lite Codec pack 2.27 Standard, K-Lite Codec pack 2.27 Full.

I also tried to reinstall media player 9 and tried to update it. Also this didn’t work.
The strange thing is, media player can’t play ANY movie, but i have the episodes of blackadder, and them he can play. I ran that in G Spot and there is no codec needed for this (realy old) so he can play that. For all the other movies i dubble click them, media player opens and gives me an error:
0xC00D1199: Can not play the file.
He gives me this link for the problem:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/support/mperr.asp?prd=Windows&spb=MediaPlayer&pver=9.0.0.0000&olcid=0x409&clcid=0x409&id=C00D1199

I have looked on the internet concerning this problem, but i can’t find a solution.

The other strange thing is i downloaded BS Player and there the movies play fine, but some of them play without sound. So i don’t know what the problem is. Is it codec related, is it media player related, is it my screwed up pc?

(I am running XP professional)
If you need more info, or want me to try anything, let me know!

Thnx in advance and hoping that there is a genious that can solve this problem. But i hope i don’t have to reinstall windows again, because i did this not to long ago. I want to fix the problem, not to reinstall everything smiley
