Unabl e to play AVI file in VLC

Hi.
I am unabl to play a downloaded video in th VLC. its an AVI file n video was downloaded from rapidshare. It shows an error " Unrecognized format for 'H:...". I was able to play only one file, rest of the files show the same error.
Please help. I appreciate any kind of help.

Hi, I’m also getting the same problem what to do???
I guess this is only with sort of avi.001 format, and 1080i avi ripped.
please tell me how can I play downloaded avi file without any issue.

Sometimes uploaders split their .avi-files with Arduo File Splitter,HJ Split (etc.) to upload them in 100Mb parts.The trick is in unpacking those parts one by one,joining them with (e.g.)mentioned apps to get the proper (e.g.)700Mb file,and than you can try to play the “joined” movie.
