try download 7zip.exe for 32-bit or 7zip.msi for 64-bit version..ten install it..and try to extract your .rar file using 7zip.. ^_^
Please right click the .rar file and choose “Extract here” option in popup floating item and the file will be extracted to current folder. Then you will be able to open and listen the song you downloaded.
First off, i think the discussion went off track. he is looking at a downloaded file that calls itself something like moviename.avi
when you try to play it, you get an “unknown codec”
when you use g spot codec anaylizer, you get told it is an x-rar file, this is a mac encoded RAR type file, not compatible with a PC.
if renamed to moviename.rar, win rar will extract the file. but not be able to play it, as it still is a mac formated file, with no extension, so is it mkv, flv, etc. and g spot cant tell either. mostly because i believe it is mac formatted.
what they are trying to do is get paid for the pirate version, or worse yet, it may be a company looking to track down the people downloading copyrighted materials.
