PTA file type?? Chinese MP4 player

I have the same problem. My mp4 player syas it plays mtv files, but i converted wmv and avi’s with “MTV converter 3.06” that i found on the forum...and nothing.
In the player theres a demo file “run.PTA” , i tried to rename the mtv files i made to pta and nothing. The player came with a cd, and inside there the “the transformational tool” with a FilmCre.exe file to transform movies to pta (i think)but the tool makes an error while opening..stays open for 4 seconds... :(
my player is the DLA-635C from Delux at www.deluxworld.com .

Drag all of the contents of the cd into a folder on ur computer. maker sure none of the files have any squares or wierd symbols for the name and run setup again...

The first thing i made was to copy all the content to the computer. Regarding the squares or weird symbols on the name..well..there’s nothing in the name but in description they all have squares, something like “FilmCre Microsoft � � � � � � � ", i don’t know if i can change that.
The folder contains the files:

Both FilmCre and FilmCre_En end in “Microsoft Apliction error reporting”
GetAudio and GetVideo won’t do a thing.
Any ideas are welcome..

Well Guys.
You all recieved a disk with the player. You can convert avi directly from the disk. Plug your player on de USB datacable en set it On. Go and start de cdromplayer with de playerdisk in it.Click on the FilmCre_En button(pict). Select the place on your Hard disk where you have your avi movies. Now convert your avi movie and wait. It takes a few minutes. Ok. All the best.

next.....
Don’t forget to point Auto Copy after Finish. (FilmCre_En screen). After it’s done you choose Exit. Go to the place on your HD where the converted PTA movie is and drag it to your player. FINISH. Have fun.

Your explanation is quite simple, and should work. But the problem here (if u read any post here) is that some dont have the disk and others like me cant get FilmCre_en to work.
Now may i ask u this, have u made any .pta using filmcre? Where are u from? i ask u this cause i have filmcre and it stays open just for a few seconds, and i wonder if it as anything to do with OS language (mine is portuguese).
Do u know where can i find filmcre for download? so i can make sure my disk is not corrupted.

remember it works only on windows xp pro not on home.. other operating systems unknows :)

You must also make sure that your player is connected to the PC when you start the converter. Otherwise it may not start. Good Luck.

I bought a media player MP3 player model ltp tech ct-800 .When i purchased it was working can see photo,movies,mp3 songs. Now i am not able to acess the screen only a curser is displayed on screen. Pls. help what to do.

We’ve all succumed to the cheap Chinese MP4 player it seems..

I did too, and in my haste I deleted all files with strange squares on it..one of which was an E-Book. Now I dont know what the file extension is for my Mp4 player to read files in the “E-Book” section. Any suggestions? It certainly isn’t .doc!
