Problem with .sfv files

well i’ve checked my .sfv files and they’re all OK.
the thing is, i opened one of the .rar files and got a .avi file. i extracted it. i tried to view it using DiVX player and it worked but there’s no sound :s

help?

btw, there are no cue/bin/iso files included when i downloaded the movie.

5 DAYS thanks to this forum i worked it out, yes you can use winrar and extract the iso from the 001 file
with winrar if you extract they iso romm file 001 you can burn the iso to cd/dvd. Thanks again

OK people this was to easy i read yall posts and i did it with ease..

First Download the program QuickSFV http://www.quicksfv.org/download.html
Second Download Winrar http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm

Now your ready

1st open the .sfv file with QuickSFV let it verify that all files are there. If that comes out good then ur ready.

2nd open Winrar and goto file, open and pick the .001 file. now u will see the .cue and .bin .
extract the cue and bin to the same folder that the .001 file is in. WOW so easy

Lastly Open up ur favorate image writing software that sapports .cue and set to burn a image and point it to the .cue and burn..
I personally use Nero Burning Rom and when i pick burn a image file a window opens for me to pick the img file but u cant see the .cue well look at the bottom and u will see a pulldown arrow click the arrow and pick .cue. Now u can Idolize the burning ofe the .cue .. pick your .cue file and burn...

Hmmm i am trying to make an ISO for a Pc game and ran into a similar problem. When i open my 001.rom file there are no .cue or .bin there is only a .mdf and a .mds . So any one know what to do?

Ok i got it to work. thanks for all your help. If when you open 001.rar there are no .cue or .bin but there are .mds and .mdf files just DL the trial version of alchohol 120% cause they are extentions for that programme

I have tryed what u guys have suggested. I have used QuickSFV and HJ-Split to combine my files into one. The problem is when I open it in winrar and try to extract the cd images to desktop it says You need the following volume to continue extraction add-spha.r00, but the only files I have for the game are add-spha.001 - add-spha.020. I have quicksfv them and no corrupt or missing. Plz someone help me out I really wanna play this game

I have RAR files .r00 to .r27, when I extract them using Winrar program, they create the same files, exact duplicates of what I already have, i.e. .r00 - .r27. How do I combine them to make it one file? Please help.

I downloaded a PS2 and had this prob with the RAR files I extracted them manually and replaced the old files by the new ones. At End I came up with two files, .BIN and .CUE.. simply I burned the CUE file using Alcohole120% and the game worked just normally!

Alright, here is a detailed way of burning your SFV file!

First of all you need to know that the SFV won’t be burnt on your CD, The main files are those which hold the numbers (001;002;003... etc);
Because your data is stored in these.



STEPS:

-> OK, You need to have Winrar installed and a program to burn your CD (supports CUE images).

-> Go to the file (x.001) and set ".RAR” as its extension (Rename it and add ".RAR” at the end of its name) exData001 — Rename — >>Data001.RAR)

-> Now the icon of the file will change to the Winrar’s and the extension you wrote will be hidden, which means that your file is compatible with Winrar now.

> Do the same for the rest of your files (except for the SFV file!).

> Now, what we need to do is to gather all these files into one file, to do this, we must start with the first file (x.001), right click on it and choose from the menu “extract here” (you can specify another directory if you wish).

-> after a while a Winrar box will pop up asking you to specify the next file!(it’ll ask for the one you’ve just extracted), if the files are not shown in the browse box, set the filter to (All files) to see them all.

-> DO NOT pick up the same file you’ve just extracted, even if the box is asking for it!!! that is, if you were extracting x.001 and the box asked for x.001 again, give it x.002 instead, and when it asks for x.002 give it x.003 then x0.004 and so on till you’re done with all your files.

-> When you finish with the last file, you’ll notice the appearance of a new file (x.CUE). This file holds the necessary info for burning your CD. Your content is stored on the .BIN file next to the CUE one.

-> Alright now, all you need to do is to execute your burning program, pick up the choice to burn a CD image, browse for the CUE file, burn it and your CD is ready to go!

I always open my .001 files with winrar, it gathers the info from all other’s (.002, .003, etc) that usually gives me a iso or img file
then I use “IsoBuster” to uncompress the rest, then I use nero to burn DVD video files..

just double click the .r001 with winrar, then you will see the file in .iso. extract it right away and your done!

1. right mouse button click the .001 file

2. left click open

3. a box will open, select “select the program from a list” and left click okay

4. a new box will open which will allow you to select the winrar program to extract the files.

Alternatively you could load winrar first, then select the .001 file and extract from there

Programs like Fastloader or UMDemulator...
can i install both of them or if i install Fastloader i can’t install UMDemulator ?

hi guys, i need held:
i downloaded a game, i got one bin file, one cue file and one sfv file. well, i got the cue on a cd, it was the install cd and i installed the game. when i opend to play it told me that i a worng CD was inserted, after i tried the bun and cue it still was worng, it is probobly something with the sfv, so as you said i downloaded the quicksfv. now what? how do i use it and after?

I extracted file 001 with winrar, then extracted the cue and bin file to another folder, the burnt off the image file using nero. Brill. Thanks for the help.
