I first installed Real Player Alternative.
Clicked an *.rm file. Media Player Classic started. It requested download of a codec. Came to a page which offered download of Gulliverkli... but no codec... How can I make the Alternative run?
No instructions found anywhere...

Well, I then decided to instead install klmcodec160 which uninstalled the Alternative and installed it anew.
Then I could run the *.rm file without problems.
Yet I wonder why the installation of only the Alternative didn’t run properly...

Then I clicked a *.mov file, which started in a small window in Media Player Classic.
Clicked for full window size. An empty full window appeared in the background, the small window remained on top of it. The music was still playing but the image in the small window was frozen. No movie in the full window (which still stayed in the background).

Thankful for any advice on how to have a full display of a *.mov file (and maybe also on how to make the installation of Real Alternative alone work, for any possible future need or advice to others...).

Best regards

First get avi tools like GSpot and Avicodec from this site or Google or from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/ Download the missing codecs and stay away from megapacks too much stuff on them. A decent codecs collection is All in One ,Xvid,XP pack ,DivX and for sound AC3 filter is a must. If you know the file extension this site is good to check : http://filext.com/ If your file is a Real Player file VLC and Media Classic both freeware may play your file. Real Alternative is just an emulation of codecs making your computer to play a RP file like the original player. Most of the stuff from above are freeware so start downloading. Here is another link for your collection www.softarchive.net so download what you need and don’t use search if you don’t want to register.Good Luck.
