Playing back DVD's recorded on a Philips DVD-recorder.

Hi!

Friends of mine sent me DVD’s of TV broadcasts recorded on a Philips DVD-Burner. Those you connect directly to your TV. When I want to play it back on my PC I get a message saying the DVD is not formated or has files not compatible with Windows.

Is there any way to get it recordnised and played or should I just forget about it?......
