Something weird just happened. I downloaded google earth, specifically design (or that’s what was written) to run on Linux. I got a .bin file and I have not a slightest clue how to run it. Don’t think any of the previous suggestions apply in my case. Doees anyone know what to do? reply

see i think that you’ve downloaded a game for dvd player.some dvd players have extensions of .bin files.these files are the one files which were first to introduce game on consoles called videogames.after some years with new technologies a configuration setup came which changed the dvd player image for people by a full entrtainment console by playing about 10000 games and above.i’m interested in studying about it and will study.these files cannot be extracted and its not any software help you else of some cd management and then installing the game into dvd player.the special dvd players has remote control space at back which are often found in old pcs and videogames.well i hope the same case for you. reply

if your downloaded .bin files don’t come with a .cue file then you need to make one and then use that .cue file to write the .bin file to a dvd/cd/virtual drive using either nero, deamontool or alchol

to create a .cue file make a new text document [right click select new text document] type the following into it.

FILE “name of the file.bin” BINARY
TRACK 01MODE1/2352
INDEX 00:00:00

now click file> save as> name of the file.cue
open nero or whatever cd writing programe you have and use the .cue file you have just made to write your dvd or cd.
