.bin files usually come with a .cue file (cue sheet). they form a cd image, which can be burned with cd burning programs (nero for example). reply

thank you...but i dont think that’s worked, there is just one file and it’s only a .bin, no cue sheet. i tried to burn it to a cd too, didnt use nero, but still didnt work. thanks for the relply though reply

Not all cd burning programs support all cd image formats. There’s tons of formats out there (.bin/.cue, .iso, .nrg, .img, .cif, .dat, I could go on and on). I am pretty confident nero supports .cue/.bin though. Also if you lost your .cue file you can use a tool like Lior’s cue maker here

I totally forgot to state: on pc’s .bin is the extension for cd images, but macs also use .bin extension (I don’t remember exactly what it was, whether it’s an executable like .exe in pc’s or archive like .zip in pc’s). The idea is if the file is huge (hundreds of MB) it’s probably a cd image. Else it might be a mac binary.

--- actually MacBinary is equivalent of PC zip. It’s an archiving format reply

I don’t see why anyone would create a bin file which is too big for a cd unless it was intended for a dvd. However, If you need to run it in ur pc, use something like Daemon Tools, which emulates your CD/DVD-ROM using a virtual drive. reply

Gurks A.k.A

hey hows it going, my gurkan im from Aus and I just found a program from called Extract Now ( im pretty sure it can extract all your illegally downloaded games which use formats such as .bin and .cue like THUG2 and Thrones and patriots.

Another way is by using a burning program such as nero. If the bin file has a .cue with it simple open nero 6 and go to “burn from CD Image' find the .cue (which is usually in the same folder as the bin) and then simple burn the image onto a blank cd.( the .cue file is like a directory or a door which extracts the .bin file! thats why it is only small). The extracted files SHOULD fit one cd! useless it has seperate .bin folders. Once this is done “autorun” should detect the cd then just find a serial or crack on a “safe” site and thats it! ur done.

BTW WinISO does work but it’s only evauluation copy which does jack sh*t without the full version.

Anywayz hope I have help you if you want yo ask me a question just email me and until next time keep downloading illegal games from Kazza and Winmx or whateve p2p program you use. One last thing if anyone finds “Rome total War” files on the net “WHICH WORK” plz let me now where to download it ok thanks

Ben: .Bin file could be anything but in your case it probabally a game if it is you would need to burn or extract this image onto a CD then it acts like if the cd has been burnt directly from another it uses “autorun” and your need the cd to play it. Bin files do work mate so dont be discourage it just takes time to find out how to do it:) reply

Well, the easiest way to do this is installing a WINISO program. This programs allows you convert a .bin file to an image file. Just burn it with your friendly neighborhood nero burning room and you are ready to go... ;) reply

I understand a real program for Rome Total War pretty illusive... Well good news, boys and girls... There is a real Rome Total War file(s) through Bearshare (I no longer use Kazaa, as I’m much happier using Bearshare and have been for the last 3 years - a much better program; hardly any bunk music files and can do multiple searches, lots of higher quality music). The 4 files are called:
Rome Total War No-CD

Use Alcohol 120% (thanks “guest”, great program) to open the 3 .bin files (note: the trial version works fine). Select All files to open as Alcohol 120% will not recognize .bin files. Select Image Burining Wizard in the main window once you’ve opened the file, press (no need to mess with any of the options) Next, OK, then Start to burn on to CD. Do this for all 3 .bin files.

Last (Important) Step: After you’ve installed from all 3 CDs (you’ll notice that during install, you are not asked for a serial/CD key), you will need to extract the .zip file you’ve downloading along with the 3 .bin files. Once extracted, use this file to replace the existing file (through Program Files for Rome Total War, wherever you downloaded the program). This is the crack and the game will not work with out it; it will keep asking you to insert the correct CD otherwise.

Chances are, you’ll be downloading from me through Bearshare. Have fun! KEEP FREE DOWNLOADS ALIVE, BABY!! reply
