Your welcome in advance, since I won’t check this ever again.
god bless you for the link to the lazy man’s guide... works like a charm!
That worked just dandy; thanks for the link.
Hell yeah.....Working great...THANKS to all
Lol Patch. The correct solution was already posted by Perius. Nice site though.

please help! i just downloaded a lot of OGMs, and can’t play them!
thanks in advance.
Dear user_unknown,
Try this http://www.videolan.org/vlc
I’m using this to play ogm.
I’ve been searching all over the web to watch ogm files....try all codecs and media player..and I finally made it...like to contribute here.
download xvid, ogg splitter then install the cole2k codec .... works like magic in my media player 9 !
Not sure why, but I’ve tried everything, installed insane amount of codecs and even read word by word that Lazy Man to playing OGM files guide and it still diddn’t work. Some times I was able to play the ogm files in WMP9 w/o sound and couldn’t even open it in DivX. I even dled players epcifically for .ogm files such as the ones listed in the Lazy Man guide but they always were distorted and not perfect picture quality.
Well I installed Video LAN and it works perfectly. No problems with playing .ogm files (fingers crossed.) So save yourself some hassle and just use the Video LAN player. No Fuss!
ogg video codec (.ogm):

Well, here’s a complete guide.... uninstall all codecs u have.... install nimo codec, install divx.... install cole2K codec ...
SETTLED !
nimo build was known to cause some problems.. dunno about the new versions but ever since I tried it the first time, I’ve kept away.
Sweet.. now i can watch all that pr0n i dled off the internet.!!
I cannot install oggds0995.exe with Windows Xp
Professional. After copying the files I get error messages:
“Could not find Procedure start point voribs_bitrate_flushpacket in DLL vorbis.dll."
“Could not load OggDS.dll”
So I can’t open ogm Files (I tried it with Core Media Player, BS Player, Crystal Player, Media Player, Real ONE and Quicktime. Basically every Player tells me the same: “Could not locate video stream”
The strange thing is under XP Home it works fine.
Both Computers are identical, except for CPu Speed
and Graphicscard. Under XP Home I use a GeForce 4
and under XP an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro.
On both Computers is the ffdshow codec package installed. Why does it work under XP Home but not under XP Professional?
Thanks Wildor,
I was not able to use the other codec cause of winXP pro but with the VLC media player, its working like a charm ![]()
Thansk for the Codec OGG download information
