Need Help with .r00 files (NO BIN/CUE FILES)

i have got a game in which 3 game files are in r30,r31,r32 format and other files are in winrar format

ive used winrar to extract the file but when it reaches apprx. 93% it says not enough disk space and something only “ntfc” (not sure if ntfc is exactly what it said) supports files larger than 4GB. do i need an alternative program to extract the file? it supposed to be a dvd.

Your current format is Fat32, and you need to format your current Hard-drive or get another one that is at least 60Gb to format to the NTFS format. NTFS (New Technology File System) which is standard for (Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista).

As Fat32 can only support files 4Gb in size and no larger.

That’s where NTFS comes in. It can support files 4GB and larger.

Usually if the drive is over 32Gb you would have problems using Fat32, as that’s where it usually runs into problems, unless you used a third-party application.

I’d suggest getting another HD as trying to get back all of what is currently on your PC may take a while.

You should use Winrar, on either the .rar file within that directory or the .R01 file in that directory and it should extract all of the files.

.sfv files can be viewed through “notepad." Or any simple text editor. Wordpad is fine too.

7Zip program can handle RAR archives powerfully such as unpacking RAR multifile volumes: rar; r00; r01; r02; etc — -and it is a complete freeware.

For joining multivolume split media: file.avi.001, file.avi.002, file.avi.003, etc, for example, I use HJSplit — -again, 100% freeware. Need I say more?

I just downloaded an ebook and the book is in parts like xxxa.rar, xxxb.rar , xxxc.rar etc

When i try to extract, it tells me that there is an oxford.r00 file missing, when all i have is an oxford.nfo !

You got it all wrong. r00 can not be opened with winrar..

you will need a joiner program so get it to work.

3 month old topic but i couldn’t let that last comment slide; winrar WILL extract r00 files. u right click and click extract to folder and will start at r00 of the archives and continue extracting (through r01, r02 etc) until its finished. the resulting file in the extraction folder will be complete or “joint”.

I have a .r00 file, from a dvd, but I want it to be converted to a .xex file format. My friends all recommend WinRAR, but how do i know or change what the file extension will be after extraction?

I downloaded the same file r00..... but i cant find anything that can be opened by winrar

If you go to ,btjunkie dot com, and search for (ConvertX to DVD) program, with Key Gen. this program will convert any file to a file that will play on house DVD players. and burn it to a dvd. You need the Key Generator to come up with a key to enter that shows you bought this program. I had to enter 10 different keys, till it accepted it. The program works great, you can even put 2 movies or more depending on size, on the same DVD.
