You have several solutions:
- Play it with VideoLan (free - http://www.videolan.org)
- Play it with Media Player Classic (also free) - http://www.gabest.org
- Get DVD playing software like PowerDVD or WinDVD (usually pay). The file will play seamlessly in Windows Media Player.
- Get an mpeg-2 decoder like the Elecard MPEG-2 decoder (not free anymore I don’t think - elecard.com) - will also play seamlessly in Windows Media Player. (there’s probably other decoders out there, some are possibly free - keep googling to find them.)
good day to everyone! how can i transfer my a.mp2v file to the disk? how doest it play? is it possible to convert to mp3? thank you so much
i got this problem.
i downloaded a movie fro a P2P and the movie is an avi, but the thing is that no player nor converter could play it, it says “format unsuported” when i click on details/solution/troubleshoot it says wierd stuff like (on windows media player)“this might b an .mp2v media file, plz download a codec” but my windows media player suports avi.
if so, your file was probably infected by some unknown viruses: in this case the only thing to do would be an immediate hd reformat I think, to avoid a general pandemia...
