.mod from my jvc everio to wmv

i have a jvc everio camera and the hard drive saves the files in a .mod file....and i was wondering if any1 knew of a program that i can convert that file with to a file that i can use in windows media for easy veiwing and simple editing on windows movie maker......or if any1 has any better ideas?.....thanx

I’ve just had the same issue - rename the file from .mod to ,mpeg - how easy is that.

Then it will play on media player.

I visited this site to find a problem myself, but I might as well contribute first.

My issue, if anybody reads.this.

Once its renamed to mpeg and plays fine, in media player. when I try and use it as a source file for conversion in Flash Video Studio v2

Any advice welcome........

Should read, when using as a source file in flash studio it freezes up?? Any ideas guys
