MDF-MDS files

i have a mdf file but i dont have a mds file , what can i do ?

anyone wanna tell me the key for Isobuster....trying to work this NFS carbon that I download it

wow, enough w/ the n00b bashing already! yeah, maybe you’re a newly adept 'power user', where transgressing OS’s are as common as modifing your boot.ini...just cause you just aren’t adept and/or available enough to simply make your own boot loader.

sure, my first piece of advice, and this should be hardwired into any DIY individual....RTFM...or nowadays, google that ish...even if you are brand new to the world of wonder we weave amidst the custom creations us renegade developer’s / futurists & digitial utopians alike, you’ll still find it’s every individuals responsibility to research for themselves....forums are great for sharing & learning....but even a n00b must have 'something' to contribute (new insight, etc..), or honestly, besides a following lack of respect, only opportunists will usually attempt to help afterwards...so always come to post your query armed w/ all the information you can find to aid you...

second...anyone that throws you an elitist attitude is either an undersexed; cognatively overdriven, introverted 'scene kid' , or script-kiddie [ie: cut & paste poser, hikey_r00kie, a 'r00t flute', an imitator complitator, ...etc...idea being, we all can be grouped into a derogatory subclass of digital denzien based on what jargon we can wield effectively, or by what we either 'do', or have 'done'. Of course, those who know, know as well that it’s who you can collaborate with. As one man trying to pioneer the redistribution of data & information, you’d both be above these forums, as well as a magnet for organizations like the fcc & riaa. Even the developers of the language and/or data construct(s) used as core framework for any program construct or routine would be hard-pressed to remain undetected, as all information IS accessable...eventaully, even the best will fall w/o peer aid & collaborations.

techincally, you could eventually pull the key to crack the source of the .ext itself, and modify it’s parameters to compile within the given program of choice used to create the disc. then, depending on your os, either regedit, or modify your SW’s file .ext parameters to include this .ext & it’s attributes (open source is best for all variations made to SW [also being open source]) ...this is an extreme 'cliff notes' version of what to do, but I digress, this isn’t the most viable & easy method...

So for the underappreciated 'n00b', and their contributions to our 'tech-economy', as well as our targeted consumer deomgraphic; I understand, and sympathize. How can one who know’s little learn more when he/she doesn’t even speak the lingo of acceptance...

For this: let me say, be yourself: all the keybonics in #irc’s mmrpg & larping channels won’t help you convince anyone with more textbook working knowledge that you know what you’re talking about. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m nothing in 'guru' status compared to those I admire in their respective fields, or for that matter, some of my current instructors. Admitting this frees me from ever thinking i’m more or less useful than anyone else that’s motivated to assist.


....since i apparantly had to rant, let’s see if i can make up for that w/ a bit of actual advice — _*)

for one, isobuster is crap...but so are most (universal .iso progs) ....i’ve had the best luck w/ 'poweriso' (register or it’s fairly useless as well) ...many times, the complation will not mount or burn under the prog....but you can always extract the files to a folder, then using nero, create, then burn your new ISO image. (many file .ext are supported).

other than that, use nero to get exact encode specs...many time, movie 'data' files are mpegav...you must convert to mpeg-2. also, many vid files are in PAL format (europe), and must be recoded into ntsc (nero recode & nero vision are usually more than compliant. if not, look @ the required attributes to create your compilation, compare to what the file(s) attributes are natively, then google for a program/utility/plugin/etc that will allow you to convert and create your project.

in the end, check out the #irc help channels related to your issue(s). I find a much more reliable forum community on #irc.

lammers!!!!! the best program to creat, change or burn is poweriso it suppotrs all files and burn.1t u mount the file .mdf and after u creat a iso of the file from virtual media jajaja is so good u have the iso file just go!!!! burn it enjoy the play

If you read wat the op said he wanted files greater then 300mb! No programs I have seen so far offer free MDF to ISO converting. So im screwed because ISO Buster allows you to do stuff for free but it doesnt allow you to burn ISOs only bin, which is kind of ironic.

Hi guys..i need help on NFS-MW.
I have the mdf files for all 4 CDs...But I have the mds files only for 2,3 and 4 CDs. I’ve searched the net for the mds file for the 1st CD,but could not find it.

Ok... use winRAR to open the mdf file. Extract al it’s contents into a folder. And install. Then once u try and play... if it askes for a cd. Go to www.megagames.com, on the left hand side click on game fixes, then cracks. FInd your game nad dwnload a -no CD crack. Copy all the contents on the no-cd crack dwnload into the game directory and yay.... tha game will work fine.

I am trying to burn a copy of Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories. It is a ps1 game but the downloaded files are mdf and mds. how do i burn it sucessfully to play on my ps2 which has been modified to play ps1 games.

Just use magiciso to convert mds/mdf to iso file. then mount iso file as virtual cd.

i got a problem with a *.mds data on my pc, i tried to mount the data with daemon-tools, but it didn´t work, i opened the .mds with an editor and found the reason: it´s full of cryptical crap....

now i would like to know wheather there´s a possibility to re-write it, because there is onl one line of boxes in it, i think there should be a “code” or something like that so the data can be mounted with daemon-tools.

could anybody tell me how i could make the data work?

installed it using virtual daemon
then when i click on it to play the game it says insert the correct cd rom. what do a do now? i’ve installed it, but dont know if ya supposed to put it on disc first.

Hi all.
This was really useful information, but now i m stuck here.

i downloaded the 3.44 GB of NFS most wanted. it has 1 mdf and 1 mds file. the last one is only 5 kb.

i opened the mdf file into isobuster and extracted it into a new folder.
now i have total of 7 files into this new folder.
4 r the .bin files each having more then 700 MB in size.
5th one is the .IMG file and the other 2 are .BUN files.

i was told to burn the outcomes from isobuster, but as u guys can see, with the use of NERO i m not able to burn the 4 .BIN files because of the size.

What sould i do? how can i start running this game in laptop?

I am totally new to this wiered files world, hoping to get some help.
