MDF-MDS files

Well, yeah. Ive tried everything to run fm2006. Either im too dumb, or its just impossible to play without crack. Its not that i dont wanna buy the original, its just impossible to get it in here. Id love to buy it, but via internet it costs fortune. Anyway, thank you for the help and instructions. Still hopeful for the plain crack though

how do i get crime life gang wars working?
it’s protected with securom7 and i don’t know how to play this game. i have tried it with deamon tools 4.0 and anti blahh and stil i get the error security module blablabla

I have a CD image of TM sunrise and installed it in my computer, but when i to play it, it says:

“Security Protection”
“Please insert the CD in another drive”

No matter if i change the virtual’s drive letter, is always the same.

i’ve tried also burning it with Alcohol 120%, Securom *NEW and StarForce 1/2/3. When i click the “start burning” button, the program asks me to keep TOC(table of contents) it says:


“Image size does not match to Lead-Out recorded in TOC!"
“Lead Out adress in TOC: 77:24:10
Image size: 77:26:09”

So it fails burning, what can I do?

i am havin the same problem.....i have got everything there (all the files from the cd)...i eve made a fake drive up to put it in...everything is installed but every time i got to play the game it says. 'please insert the correct CD-ROM, select ok and restart application' if someone could help i would appreciate it

can any1 tell me how u open a mdf file everytime i try and open 1 it says it cant open it!

Ok hi everyone and thanks for the pointers. NOW everyone having trouble with FM 2006 here is what I did to make it work !!!! So listen up.

1. Download Daemon tool/manager !!!!!!

2. “Mount the image”, mount the file you downloaded which should have the extension .mds or .mdf . (I mean the installation file)

3. Once mounted it should start by itself and then you simply select select to Install the game.

4. Ok now the game should be installed..!!! So what I did was go to the icon’s properties and change compatibility to “Run with NT....(service pack 5)"

5. Now go to Daemon tools and check if the .mdf or .mds file isn’t still mounted and if it is then you just go to the FM 2006 icon the your desktop and double-click, wait for a short while and the game should start.


The difference between what I did and what the instructions here on the forum are that I did not mount the .exe file, I just kept the .mdf/.mds file still mounted....!!!

p.s. I hope this is understandable and will help someone out there !!

don’t you hate it when you do everything right apart from a really simple thing....i had the sdhide on restore.....if anyone is stuck just download daemon tools and the mdf mds files (with thesd4hide program).....mount them onto the fake drive from daemon tools, install....press hide and your away

hey i downloaded a game and it has 2 files one is .mdf and the other is .mds i used isobuster to change the files and then nero to burn them onto a disk, i found a cd key, installed the game using the disks that i burnt and now when i try to start the game the error comes up that i need to insert the cd, can anyone please help me out, i dont have the original game cd(if that changes anything)

After reading few pages and look at the softwares that mention on this topic. I found out almost everything that I need to know about mdf and mds format.

Don’t yell about crackz or serialz.. Learn to be a progarmmer. Otherwise I appreciated all the Prof that gave out info on how to deal with this format.

i just downloaded fm2006 with a bittorrent used azereus. i extracted the files and now i have 2 files a mds and mdf. the mds file is 3kb and the mdf file is 770,398 kb. i am not a computer expert and i have read all the posts about fm2006 but i am so confused please help me

do i have to burn the game on to CD first?

Hey i just downloaded Battlefield 1942, it came with 1 iso, 1 mdf, and 1mds. I can’t burn the mds onto a cd because dvd decrypter, nero, or sonic dvd won’t read it...i tried burning the mdf onto a cd but that doesn’t work. I’ve installed the game and everything, but the game cracks don’t fucking work! And it says i need 2 put the proper cd in, so which would it be? plz help me

Not to add to the confusion, but...

I have read the majority of the posts and cannot find a solution.

I have a 1.3 gig file.
I have 120% and Magic ISO Maker, and Iso Buster

Is it possable to break this file up to put on normal 700 meg CD’s?

Hey guys,
I have a slightly different problem. I was able to use Alcohol 120% on one of my other mdf/s files (for now called 'A'). It worked and I deleted the 'A' from the computer
but recently I have downloaded an other mdf/s file ( for now called 'B'), but every time I try to mount 'B' on to a virtual drive, but 'A' keeps on coming back as the virtual drive, meaning i can’t mount a second time. I even tried Daemon Tools. but 'A' keeps on coming up. What do I do?

i am trying to use a crack for wc 3 roc but when i install it it says ordinal could not be found in storm.dll sumtin like that i tried reinstalling but it doesnt work i tried using other cracks but none of them alowed me to play without a cd the game crashes or that message+insert cd when i apply a crack

plz help
