invalid AVI file

I have the exact same problem as shockme. I’ve downloaded shows from bittorrent but can’t seem to play it. It says it’s an AVI file but I’ve checked using gspot, it says invalid AVI file. I’ve tried evrthing I cld, download all kinds of players (DIVX, winamp, VLC, quicktime etc), all kinds of video codecs, but still doesn’t work. This is so frustrating!!

Is there anything we can do with invalid avi file, like make it valid maybe!?!?

Is there kind soul out there who can help??
