Alcohol 120% for me seems to be the most easiest to use program. It lets burn .iso files with simple clear instructions.

If you are using PC, DVD Decrypter is also a nice choice, following this thread:

This is an old post, but I found it useful, so I wanted to post a reply in case someone comes across it. I changed the img file extention to iso. All of a sudden it changed to a winrar archive. I extracted it, and all the dvd vobs were there!
No other program needed except winrar

LPDad & passerby’s suggestions of dvddecrypter and changing file extensions were very useful. But I still have a problem. One of the movies I downloaded was image file and when I opened it with magic ISO I found a whole lot of files such VOB, IFO, & BUP and when i used DVD shrink I learnt some of the files were in languages other than english which i do not want. How do I identify and consolidate only the required files into one file for ease and convenience.

In response to neville, VLC will play .IMG files without having to mount them, just open file in VLC, make sure to look for all file types, select the .img and it will play as a DVD movie.

Considering this change the extention to .rar seems to work, how do you change the extention? I’ve tried renaming the file to IMAGE.ISO but nothing worked? It still said that it was IMAGE.ISO.IMG >_<; I don’t understand how to change the extention of the file x_x; please help...

>_> Nevermind my post, the .img file I made to .iso with magiciso came up with tons of wierd straight; non .vob or other files...instead it came out as...

BDA.cab
BDANT.cab
BDAXP.cab
BGM.ARC
DirectX.cab
DSETUP.dll
ED.dat
Install.exe
ManagedDX.CAB
OP.dat
Rio.arc
Se.arc
SHFOLDER.DLL
Setup.exe
Setup.txt
Voice.arc
absobey.exe
dsetup32.dll
dxnt.cab
dxsetup.exe
>_>; So this is in no way your average .img file, BUT I don’t know what I did but one of the dvd’s I had created tried loading as a .DAT on my dvd player, and showed messed up images of what the movie was supposed to be, so it’s got to be some sort of movie, but very complicated to deal with...there was no instructions as to how to burn this file to make it work so, >_>; I don’t really expect anyone to know what to do, so you guys can just ignore this if you want =) Thanks for the previous tips you guys had that I tried. =D I’ll try to find the same movie but in a different format...try .avi or something, I can play those on my dvd player ^-^;; Sorry to bother you all!

download/install 7-zip at www.7-zip.org, after done installing right click the img file and extract file which should give you 2 folders audio_ts always empty and video_ts. Now just burn it onto a 4.7 single layer dvd/disc, you can burn using nero 6>Nero Express>DVD Movie files that should give you a working dvd that’ll play on any dvd player
