Just rename the .img file to .iso and it will work. You can open it then without the need for some magic iso prgram.

Hehe LOL, i was angry, a slaped the comp 3x times. And i renamed .img to .iso and burned it .. THANKS !

Easy fix:

If your have: filename.img

change the extension to: filename.iso

You’ll note that the file is now recognized as a RAR file (assuming you have WinRAR installed.) Double click the file, extract, enjoy!

I am having a problem i downloaded a file wich is a sfv but i have no clue how to open can someone help me out?

SFV (Simple File Verificator) files are used to ensure if files are:
- not corrupt
- not missing

ya cant just rename the file like that, you don’t go rightclikin everywhere and do it, it doesn’t work like that.

You gotta convert it, I used UltraISO, you can download it free @ download.com Use UltraISO to convert your img file to a file usable to nero.

to rename files in windows go to start then click run then type in cmd and hit enter. Then type in rename (hit space) then the path of your file. For instance c:\program files\bitlord\downloads\constantine.img

now add the name you want it to be like this
c:\program files\bitlord\downloads\constantine.iso

hit enter
this will rename the filename.img to filename.iso and then mount it with Alcohol120% and burn the image

This is hilarious. You copyright violators are spending hours and hours trying to figure out how to burn your pirated stuff onto CD when it would be far more efficient just to go out and buy the damned game...

People who can’t figure out how to rename an img file to an iso should NOT be trying complex things like burning CDs. They probably shouldn’t even be allowed to own a computer - idiots!

Hi guys and gals. I got a problem! (Or I probably wouldnt be here :P) But here it is. I downloaded a 3 gig -moderated-. I mount the install disk fine using Alcohol and install it. But then I have to insert cd 1 to play....Problem is there are four files -
FF_Disc1.ccd
FF_Disc1.cue
FF_Disk1.img
FF_Disk1.sub
===================================
Im trying to get the disc to run without having to burn it, prefrably by mounting them. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

I have a file in limewire that I can not open that is a badge.img file. Can anyone help me?

people posts replys assuming you know simple commands and functions that they are familiar with

I will walk you through a simple step by step procedure to make VOB files out of IMGs

all you need is WinRar

1) Create a new folder on your desktop or any easily accesible area of your computer. I always put it on the desktop.

2) open your downloaded file and right click on the 00rar file (first one) and select open. The file will then start to self extract.....be patient

3) when it is fully extracted you will see a new screen with a empty folder and underneth it your extracted img file. Right click on the .img file and select view file (Alt V). a new extraction box will appear and begin to work....again be patient.

4) when finished a new box will appear and in it will be your Audio_TS file and your long desired Video_TS file. Right click on the Video_TS file and select extract to location....extract it to the New Folder that you created in Step 1. When it is finished you now have perfectly usable and burnable VOB files. check to make sure they look good and you can delete the RAR files to save space on your hard drive.

Hope this helps.......bittorrents and the likes are great things but it will take you time to learn how to work with all different file formats....keep it simple

I’m a real n00b...how do I rename the file? I right-clicked and renamed it ***.iso but it didn’t change the file type, just the name...help please? sorry if this sounds pathetic :)
