how do i put text on a movie ??? Help..

I have a movie with no text on, and i have the text for the movie how do i get them togeather ??? what program do i need to fix it

Are you talking about subtitles? in any case you will have to give some information...what container it is in (avi, mpg etc) what codec the video in the container is encoded with.
Also you may want to say whether you are just looking to view the movie or if you are trying to transcode/re-encode it for another formatt and want the “text” to be encoded in the stream.
lastly, maybe some indication of your video experience so that anyone answering you can give you a solution that fits your current abilities.
