How do I change an extension from aXXo to avi?

Hi

I’ve loaded a file thats an aXXo.
And i cant get it to play in any of my media players. And I do have VLC.
I read in another thread that a person changed the extension to avi.
So if anyone could tell me how to do so, that would be great.

It looks like it’s a movie ripped from DVD to AVI...
aXXo is the users name who uploaded the files


Title[year]type of rip[language]-uploader.filetype.torrent < — this is what all of the users files look like
Eg...
The.Dark.Hours[2005]DvDrip.AC3[Eng]-aXXo.avi.torrent

I Just downloaded an aXXo avi file and runned it through a converter but I am recieving no sound.
How do I convert it into an AVI file to hear the movie?

hi...i have downloaded many movies using torrents. I want to created vcds...but the files are of the type : Edison.Force[2005]DvDrip[Eng]-aXXo.avi...could anyone plese help me n tell me how to convert them to just avi or dat files...these are all one files that are arnd 700 mb in size...I donot mind if there is sme way using which I can get 2 vcds tat are 700 mb each.

If it’s a video file,and you can play it on your pc or by WMP,maybe you can try winavi to convert to AVI.
You can try trail version first to see if it can really help you.

i hace downloaded an dvdrip of miamivice it is ripped by axxo
i searchd al of google but i cant found the solution to play it.
is there a player or codec for it (not vlc) .
or is the change to avi the best solution.

you need the codecs of divX and Xvid. Axxos avi files are converted to Xvids.

I need to convert an axxo file into something I can play on windows media player can anyone tell me what i need to do? Please?

Providing you have the right codecs..eg ac3 and divx and xvid codecs installed on your system, the axxo file, which should be a .avi will play on windows media player

im trying to convert an axxo file with winavi but not letting me an suggestions that may help thanks

a friend of mine tried to open 28.weeks.later-axxo.avi. he found it somewhere
so everytime he tries to open this file the video tells “content blocked - try 3wplayer”
he told me that this player seems to be spyware. what can i tell him to do?

i downloaded a torrent and when opened it was requesting 3wplayer.i downloaded it!!! DONT AS IT IS FULL of viruses it took a while to clean pc again...easy way is to delete film and find another coy to download...

ok now if the 3wplayer is full of viruses and spyware. what else can u do to watch the movie or convert it to something watchable?

Download VLC media player.. apsolutely the best.. plays allmoust anything.

I want to but a movie that i have recently downloaded on to my zune, it is by axxo. But whenever i try and convert his vids with Winavi the sound is always off from the video. What can i do to have sound and video in sync.
