How do i burn .avi files on Nero???

I have a problem. On Nero it says when i’m going to burn a DVD that i have to choose from Video CD, Super Video CD and MiniDVD. I don’t know what to choose, also there is this movie and it is in an avi format, when i’m going to burn it, it says “Unexpected File Format” Please tell me what to do. I’m lost. Maybe someone has already posted this and i’m sorry for that. And please tell me in english, i don’t know computer-language :P

First update your Nero from here:http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php and download this free converter from VSO: http://www.vso-software.fr/ is called DivX to DVD.If you want something easy to burn your dvd download from the same site Copy to dvd but is a shareware.Open DivX to DVD find your file and before you start converting checkmark burn with Copy to DVD and be sure you have a blank dvd in your burner.If you want to burn on cd’s the story is different.WinAvi or any converter you like is going to convert your file to VCD(video cd) or SVCD (super video cd)just be sure to check your exit file size to fit a cd(700 M.When is done open Nero to cd and burn it.Choose Nero Vision and the type of cd you converted and add file no bigger than 703 MB.Good Luck.

had nero 7.10.10 -updated to nero 7.11.10 now won’t burn my torrent download files to dvd-r — not porperly some play in my home dvd players and others do not but will play on computer please some HELP! I download lots of xxx for personal entertainment

I have a handful of .avi files that add up to almost the size of a DVD. I use Nero 6 and go to Nero Burning ROM via SmartStart. I make sure all the settings are fine under “New Compilation” and hit “New”. I drag my files into the DVD and burn. Then it burns succesfully but won’t play in my DVD player. Says something like “unidentified disk” or whatever. What should I do?

Nero is OK, if there is also some problem, you can try another dvd burner
