ive been trying to find a program that can convert RMVB’s without audio sync issues and so far i havent found one that works.

theres no point converting the files if the audio is going to be monstrously out of sync. is there a program that DEFINITELY solves this?

ive tried the ones above and they dont work.

I want to try making an AMV... but all the videos I have can’t be imported onto my Windows Movie Maker (T_T) it always says: “The file .rmvb is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker." Or that the proper codecs needed aren’t installed.

I... really don’t know any computer terms. They seriously confuse me, but I’ve tried going with some of the advice posted here. I’ve tried Real Alt. but it still didn’t work.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Ugh... I don’t know anymore. I’ve been trying for months, but something always goes wrong.

I’m beginning to think that there’s some kind of special force out there that doesn’t want me to make this AMV. T_TT

You CAN’T, uless you use WinAVI to convert to KVCD and Burn to a 700mb CD-R using NERO Vision Express, although you will probably want to have a look at the VCDGear Software too.

P.S look for a KVCD creation Guide aswell grin

Hi, I’m sorry this may be an old question. But I have a Mac and I’ve tried playing the .rmvb file on my computer but nothing supports it. I tried looking for a video converter or another video player that might support it but no such luck. So if someone could give me any enlightenment I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.

To recognize other types of files, download and install the media player or its codec package that was originally designed to play back that media.

I request you to install the DivX codec in your system and try playing .rmvb files.

i have just come across the rmvb file format after reading this forum it became very clear how to convert and play this file

1/ convert with win avi to an avi file

2/play with windows media player or any other suitable media player

the file worked fine after the convesion every thing was also in sync

make sure your codecs are up to date and you will have no problems
