You dont need to convert a .vob file to get a .mpg file.
Only thing you need to do is replace the .vob with .mpg and its a mpg. The file stays the same but you can play it with mediaplayer.
I’ve never had any annoying pop ups from DVD Shrink myself but of course it’s not really designed as a vob player. VLC is actually amazing I think. It even plays supported files with the wrong extension or container.
realplayer an mediaplayer cannot play vobs files so
does anyone know how 2 convert them ?
thanks alot

This is what I did when my windows media player wouldn’t play the VOB file , I just renamed the extension .VOB to .AVI yeah I know it says it could make it unplayable , but hey it worked , to change it back just rename the extension again back to .VOB . so there was no need to download this or install that. To rename your file extension you must have that feature turned on in your folder options.
Had same issue with 'video clip' files, wouldn’t play on my windows media player. Downloaded the XP Codec Pack and all is working again.

i’ve got a cam-sb.r00, cam-sb.r01, cam-sb.r02 etc. for my files. how do open this to watch it? if someone could help me out, that would be great. thanks!
i took some video with my camera, which is a MOV file. i can’t get it to play on my computer. (real player classic) when i click on the file the real player screen comes up, but the video doesn’t play. i tried downloading RP again, but that didn’t help. any ideas?
How do I convert it so that it’ll import into Windows Movie Maker? I mean I can get the VOB files in there. But when I push play, they just stay froze OR they don’t have n/e sound.
Any help guys?
YES, this did help. THANKS VERY MUCH.
this is correct if your windows media player wont play “VIDEO CLIPS"
