cant play dvd.rip files

hey ive just download a movie in rar. file . i have also unzip it but it doesnt seems to work.i tried playing it on window media player but an error stating that it cant be played.can someone help me! thanks

how do i play a file tht has a file extension .DVD??? or is it a dvd.rip file???

i just downloaded a movie off of bitcommet and when i go to play it i only get sound. then when i trie dto burn it to a DVD it said that it was unable to. the DVD has enough space to hold it and now im very confused.

What about .r30 files? I extracted them using WinRar and that gives me a .img file. I tried opening it with Windows picture viewer and WMP since its a dvd but no luck so far. Any help?

I just downloaded world trade center and have in my folder 31 rep-wtc files and with the rar(icon on it and then I have rep-wtc.r30 until rep-wtc.r93 and a rep-wtc.sfv file. All I wanna do is either watch the movie to make sure its good and burn it afterwards or just put my head through the screen , please HELP!!! What to do

okay i am having this same problem! all i want to do is play these episodes on my computer. but my files look like this:

zx.escaflowne.01.divx503.avi

and i have avi codec, and all it says is this:

V. codec name: divxnetworks divx v5
A.1 codec name: ogg vorbis (mode 1)

i dont know what this stuff means but my divx player wont play these files, and theyre on a dvd rom.

I have a movie downloaded in .tar format. Inside it has 2 files. One is a .r20 and the other is a .sfv. I dont think I am supposed to extract these because they are only about 15 MB combined and the .tar achive itself is 707 MB. Any ideas? Thanks!

i downloaded a file from bitcomet with CD1.DVDRip.Xvid.Voodoo.avi this extension and it said incomplete download....i am unable to open this movie file its now in my hard drive...can you please suggest me a software preferably downloadable from the net to open this...thanks in advance.
