can't open .img file or .sfv file

SFV ARE NO VIDEOS!!!!
God dou people even read the posts above you before posting?
SFV are Files to check whether there have been any errors while downloading. So don’t even bother trying to open them in any video player...

Eeh.. Daemon Tools can’t open .img and .bin files.
I would guess that’s the problem.

i open it with virtual clone drive.. thats the best one.. or u can also open it with powerISO or maybe even magicISO... but virtual clone drive is t best...

hi there... the .img file it’s a file that you have to burn into a cd or a dvd it depends on the size of it...after burning it you can open it and usually there are many files inse...to burn this .img file you can use something like nero burning or any other program to burn .img files, nero burnig is just one of many programs...then the sfv file you don’t have to bother about it that file is just to control the date that you have downloaded...sometimes it can be a virus so the best thing is ...Don’t touch it hope this helps you

I was looking at this forum cause I had the same prob. Here is what you have to do:

Right click on the first file(not the .sfv one but the one which usually ends with .001) and chose open with and select winrar. Then your gonna get the file which can be opened so double click on it. Extraction will begin and all files will be extracted. Then using Daemon Tool emulate the image that your gonna get from the extraction. Thats it.

About the .sfv file: This file can be opened by a programme called quicksfv. All it does is checking if all the files are downloaded correctly and whether some of these files are damaged. So don’t bother using it....

But i was wondering.. About the 001 files and so on. would i have to extract all the rar files? like the 001, 002, 003, 004 and so on, or do i only have to extract one of them?

Please help I am trying to open a move file, but the file extension is .img.
I also have another file extension that can with the move folder it is .sfv.

All the files in the folder came in a WinRAR archive . the only files to unpack was the .img and .sfv file extensions.

please help I would like to watch this move.

sfv is no realy a program or file is just for chec the any file is corrupt so no dowland any promam said is for sfv files can be viral programs

I had downloaded the movie files with extension .001 to .011.
I don’t know how to play them.

i downloaded the new prince of persia the ghost of the past.
it is an image file i opened it with deamon tools.butwhen i click the install button after configuring where to install to, my system gets stuck.i would like to know the reason for this problem,or is it the problem of the torrent i downloaded.

How to open an .sfv file:

There are a few nice software applications available that can open an SFV file and run a check on the downloaded archive. However, the one that I typically use is called QuickSFV and is entirely free to use.

1. Download QuickSFV (from this link :http://www.quicksfv.org/download.html) to your computer, then launch the executable and proceed to install QuickSFV
2. Once your reach the File Associations section, make sure to check the SFV box as pictured below:
