cannot play wav file using windows media play

I cannot play .wav file using windows media player even after I upgraded media player to 10. Anybody knows which codec I should download, and where I can get it. Thanks a lot.

does it play OK in WinAMP?

why couldnot my desktop pc play wav file to listen music by using winamp but my labtop does.
